Today at our first Youth Cabinet meeting of 2021!

It was great to be able to hold our first meeting of 2021 on Tuesday evening. It gave us an opportunity to discuss some of the local issues amongst young people and we came up with ideas of what we can do ourselves to try and improve on this. Youth Cabinet also looked at the results of the Make Your Mark vote and discussed some of the top issues. More information on the top results in the Vale will be shared by Ashleigh our member of UK youth parliament.

We also discussed Youth Cabinet branding of our social media posts and leaflets. We spoke about our foodbank donation to Trussell Trust Food Bank Barry as a Christmas gift on behalf of the Youth Cabinet. We also completed a a review of play consultation from Young Wales called Young Wales Ministerial Play Regulations Review Consultation – 11 to 18 year olds. We would love it if all young people from across the Vale completed this too and you can do so by clicking the link above.

Finally we were also able to move forward with our Future Voices part 2 event. We took the feedback from our evaluation report and will be promoting it soon.
