Vote for your Youth Mayor!!

Local Democracy Week takes place every year in October. It’s all about making young people more aware of their local council and encouraging them to have a say about their local communities and meet with local decision-makers. The Vale of Glamorgan Council do this by electing a Youth Mayor.
This year we will the elect the 5th Youth Mayor. The Youth Mayor represents young people in the Vale by taking their views to decision-makers. The Youth Mayor is the spokesperson for the Vale Youth Cabinet and the Youth Mayor has a campaign to improve an issue for young people locally. This year there are 3 candidates who want to be your Youth Mayor:
Voting will take place in schools, youth clubs and youth organisations next week (15th-19th October). Make sure you have your say by voting for your Youth Mayor!
