5575 votes were cast during Local Democracy Week (15th-19th October 2018) and the results of the Youth Mayor election were announced at the youth cabinet meeting last night!

Hello, my name is Ben Lloyd and I am the new Youth Mayor for the Vale of Glamorgan.  As part of my manifesto I have pledged to set up work experience opportunities for young people, reform the Welsh Baccalaureate so that it’s better for young people and to work on a curriculum to prepare us for life, so that young people are more prepared for the world of work.
