Vale Pupils Attend SHRN Youth Consultation Event
On 21st March five secondary schools took part in the SHRN Youth Consultation Event at Barry Memorial Hall. Councillor Bob Penrose welcomed the pupils and the Vale Healthy Schools team presented the SHRN (School Health Research Network) data from the Vale of Glamorgan.

All eight secondary schools in the Vale took part in the SHRN survey with over 5,500 pupils responding to this health & wellbeing survey. The survey asked students about a range of health behaviours and outcomes as well as their age, gender and how they feel about school.
Those attending the event had an opportunity to voice their opinions and ideas through workshops on six topics: food & nutrition; sleep; healthy relationships; mental wellbeing; substance misuse; and friendships & bullying.
Lots of interesting information was shared and gathered which will be collated in a report. We would like to thank all those who took part and hope you enjoyed the event!
