Rights Ambassadors Autumn Round Up

It’s been another busy term for the Vale Rights Ambassadors. Members were able to deliver some primary school workshops at the start of the term to three primary schools raising awareness of the UNCRC.
Members also had the opportunity to visit a Brownie unit in Penarth to help the girls learn about their Rights and to promote the Children’s Commissioner for Wales Brownie Badge.
Overall a total of 130 children have taken part in workshops this term.
Members were also involved in the planning and delivering of our annual Super Ambassador Primary School event, which was held digitally through Microsoft Teams. 17 primary schools joined us online to learn about the UNCRC and their roles as Super Ambassador pupils.
We have also started training for new Rights Ambassadors, 10 young people have enrolled onto our UNCRC accredited qualification. We can’t wait for them to complete the training and start delivering workshops in our next term.
