Hello my name is Nikita Harrhy, I’m a pupil from St Cyres School and I am running for Youth Mayor in the Vale of Glamorgan.

What I would like to achieve: I want young people to have a voice in decisions made in our lives as it is very important to our future. It is also one of our human rights which I don’t think it has been used to its full power.

Have you ever had a concern or an idea that you feel was pushed aside? Maybe by a teacher or a councillor or another person of a high authority

I know that many young people feel like there voice is not valued and their views are pushed aside I know people say all the time that young people need a voice and then nothing happens. I want all young people to have a voice and that will be my mission.

If I do get elected as Youth Mayor then I would like visit schools and youth organisations to speak to all the young people so that they could share their views and ideas about the issues that matter to them. So if you want a voice and a choice in your future then please vote for me.
