I AM ME – This Term’s Update
During this term members of I AM ME, has been spent facilitating consultation on how to move the project forward. Members looked at the best way of including face to face sessions, as well as considering what types of Agored Accreditations members wanted to take part in.
At the start of January members planned a party when we came to kick of the new term. It gave members the opportunity to get to know each other. We played lots of party games and had a load of snacks! This was also a good way of helping to build on our confidence in a new environment and assisting with socialising face to face again, which is something we have missed doing because of Covid-19 Pandemic. Members had the best time meeting friends in person for this first time!
In February to celebrate Valentines day members had some fun cooking sessions where we made Valentine’s Day cupcakes, members also attempted to make healthier brownies, and looked at healthy eating.
In March we had another face to face session for members of I AM ME! These sessions will run once a fortnight and we will still have our online sessions on the alternating weeks. We introduced our young people to the area and asked for their input on whether they were happy with it, which they were. We used this time to enjoy being face to face and getting to know each other better, along with making slime and looking into the Agored Accreditations.
Next term we will continue to meet face to face once a fortnight and look at beginning our Agored Accreditations. We will also look at planning a trip or having another party to all get to together and have a laugh!
