Children in Need Day at CCS

This year, we set out to make a substantial contribution to Children in Need; for us it was about raising money and awareness for those most deserving in society.
With this aim at heart, the CCS events committee arranged a poster competition for Year 7 to create a ‘Pudsey Bear’ themed poster, and were awarded prizes according to their success and hard work. The winners were: 1st- Beatrice Utley, 2nd-Lola Parkin and 3rd-Brooke Lewis. Well Done!!
On the same day, we had a cake sale for both KS3 and KS4/5, which raised £362.41; thank you to all those involved.
The ‘Food Group’, part of the School Council, did a fantastic job of raising £135.70 for Children in Need, by making and selling ‘Spotty Cookies’. This was organized and coordinated by Helen Jenkins and Maddison Stimson-Jagger Well done!!!
Finally, we would like to say a huge thank you to the Head Teacher, the staff and pupils for their continued support and participation throughout the week. It has been a huge success, raising a fantastic £1795.11, and we look forward to undertaking similar events in the future.
